Purpose of Medicare PPO Advantage Plans
The purposes of having a Medicare PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) Advantage Plan. First it helps cover your Medicare Part A and Part B. Second it and may include a Part D drug plan. Third it gives you a maximum out-of-pocket cost for medical expenses. Forth it gives you the flexibility to self-refer to doctors and providers. You do not need to obtain a referral from your primary doctor.

Who qualifies for Medicare PPO Advantage Plans
You must have Medicare Part A and Part B. You must live in the coverage area. (the plans we have discussed in this blog are in Huntington Beach, California as of 2022). You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium. If required, you must pat your Medicare Part A premium. You must continue to pay the Medicare PPO Advantage premium. (premiums can vary greatly from plan to plan) If you move out of Orange County, California you must notify your PPO Advantage Plan company.
